Lille have stated that Eden Hazard will not leaving the Ligue 1 champions this summer.

Manager Frederic Paquet has issued a warning, confirming that the Belgian starlet is not for sale, despite a number of reports linking him to Arsenal:

‘Eden is not for sale. He will not be leaving this summer, whether to Paris or anywhere else. The president has been very clear about this. He will be with us next season.’

This news comes after the 20-year Belgian suggested he was keen for a move to The Gunners this summer:

‘I want to play at a big club. I have no preference.’

But with potential bids coming in from Europe’s elite clubs, it would be hard for Lille to turn down such lucrative deals, especially if Hazard himself expresses a desire to move away from the club.

I don’t think this deal is quite over, not just yet. It will be interesting to see how this story develops over the next few months or so.

Hazard will be our January Window signing, after Lille get knocked out of The Champions League.

For me he is Nasri’s replacement on the left, although i am hoping Nasri moves inside when Cesc signs for Barca.
