Arsenal are reportedly weighing up a £4 million summer swoop for West Brom star Peter Odemwingie, according to the Daily Mail.
Arsene Wenger wants to reinforce his strike force this summer in order to take the goal-scoring burden off Robin van Persie, who netted 18 goals in 25 Premier League appearances for the Gunners this season, and sees the 29-year-old Nigerian as an ideal solution.
Odemwingie, who only has a year left on his current Baggies deal, impressed immensely in his first full season in England, scoring 15 goals in 32 appearances – finishing fifth in the goal scoring chart behind Carlos Tevez, Dimitar Berbatov, Robin van Persie and Darren Bent.
Though Roy Hodgson is desperate to keep hold of his star striker this summer, it will undoubtedly be a huge ask for the West Brom boss, especially with the lure of Champions League football and a dream move to Arsenal beckoning.

yes he will be a perfect signing for us but will wenger finalize the deal?
Not a bad idea but i doubt it coz of his age at 29. but if the Defence( i believe is our major issue) and Midfield ( if Cecs or Nasri leaves) then i think 4-5 million pounds on Good striker like Odemwingie (15 goals on debut season while Toress & Drogba put together didnt get that much this season )as a Suport Striker for RVPersie is a fair deal as he wont put much weight on Arsenal’s wage bill which is typical wenger… but honestly I think for now its just a rumour!
