Why Arsenal should take a leaf out of Manchester giants’ books

|

From the weekend, I have concluded that Arsenal (unfortunately) need to take notes from the dark side, Manchester.

City – Money doesn’t buy you love, but a bucket load of cash buys you the FA Cup.

United – Ability alone isn’t enough, you also need self-belief to finish what you’ve started.

Hopefully Arsene Wenger and the Americans can see this and create ‘The Arsenal blueprint’ for the future!!!

The Emirates saw its last action for the 2010/11 season yesterday. Arsenal’s performance showed that for a lot of the players the season ended at Wembley and cruising to the finish in auto pilot lands you one less week holiday, as well as an unwanted trip to Eastern Europe in early August.

I also feel The Emirates has seen its last action from a few of the first team squad; Denilson, Bendtner, Almunia, Arshavin(?) to name a few. Hopefully the close season will see the final arrival of Ryo & Wellington, and an influx of some noobs; Hazzard, Benzema, Sakho?? Only Arsene Wenger and time will tell.

Is it just me or do we play better with RvP supporting an out-and-out striker? If so, how do you then fit Cesc, Samir and Jack into the current formation as well? #Justputtingitoutthere!!!

Anyways, here’s to finishing the season with a win at Fulham, and praying that other results go our way so our players get that extra week break.

i must say you good for a laff mate,be more like city an utd? what you mean so in debt that you could fold as a club in next ten years like utd or spend loads off money on crap players and what you get for your 150million quid the fa cup and players like tevez who don’t want be thier.
and benzema for arsenal are you sure ? this after benzema said he staying at real madrid , and do think we could afford his wage demands, ? ho then you got hazard lol top quality player that been wrongly called world class for past 2 years by arsenal fans, who so great no one wants to buy him,
if he as good as people say why man utd or real madrid buy him instead of bayan munich (which by the way the club he going too).

Think you slightly missed my point: no implying we should spend to that degree, cos we don’t need to, we just need to spend to add enough experience to the existing squad to compete and a bit of never say die attitude wouldn’t go a miss either

I think we need to spend but I don’t think we have to spend as much as Man City. I do agree with the fact that Man Utd team this season was not there best but they do have more self-belief then probably anybody else in the premier league, and I think Arsenal need to get some self-belief. If we spend a bit of money and we get some self-belief, I think we can win trophies next season.

“It was a massive moment, the point where it all started to go badly wrong and I think we all knew. I went home afterwards and just cried.” – The reaction of Arsenal midfielder Denilson after the Gunners’ Carling Cup loss, proves that the mindset just is not right. They need to spend money to rebuild their spine – like a Viera and an Adams, mongrels with class – not cheap to buy, but neccessary.
