It was reported this week that new Arsenal owner, Stan Kroenke, will hand Arsene Wenger a £40 million transfer kitty this summer in order to bolster the current squad for next season’s campaign.
However, renowned for his strict transfer policies and tight spending, it seems almost certain that the Frenchman will resist temptation, and ultimately not splash the cash, even though a number of the clubs fans would like to see him do so this summer. Obviously this is yet to be seen, but it appears highly likely if history is anything to go by.
So I ask – If you were in Wenger’s position and had £40 million at your disposal this summer, who would you look to acquire?

Really like this idea of buying Scott Parker. We need some leadership and grit on the squad even if he is older.
Parker is not Arsenal material, good player, but not good enough for the Gunners.
I personally would look to get six players in this summer. We need a top striker, one or two defenders and midfielders, thats if Fabregas and Clichy leave, and I still think we need a keeper.
Striker: Sergio Aquero or Benzema
Midfielder: Eden Hazard
Defender: Gary Cahill or Samba
Goalkeeper: Pepe Reina
If Clichy leaves then we should get Baines from Everton. If Fabregas leaves then we need a playmaker. I think if we sell Bendtner, Rosicky, Diaby, Denilson, Clichy, Chamakh, Squillaci, then we’ll have enough for these players.
