Should Arsenal pursuit Christian Eriksen this summer?

|

Arsenal’s Theo Walcott has recently suggested that Christian Eriksen would make a ‘great addition’ to the Arsenal squad, after witnessing up close and personal what the 18-year-old playmaker is capable of. Walcott was quoted in the Metro today saying:

‘He has a good touch. You can see he is technically gifted, very comfortable and doesn’t lose the ball that often. ‘As for him coming to Arsenal, it’s a question to ask the boss – but he would be a great addition.’

Not to sound like a broken record, but having watched Eriksen play against England the other night, I must say that the boy has got talent, and undoubtedly, a great future ahead of him. As funny as it may sound, I only really took notice of him whilst playing Pro Evolution Soccer 2011…I honestly never knew or heard about him before this. Of course in reality, Eriksen is miles better than his virtual self.

The Dane showed great composure and technical ability on Wednesday night and clearly overshadowed our very own Jack WIlshere, who himself had a good game for the Three Lions.

A lot of top European clubs would have sat up and took note of Christian Eriksen, so without a doubt, if Arsenal are interested in acquiring his services this summer, it sure as hell just got a lot more difficult.

So, taking all this into account, should Arsenal look to snap him up in the upcoming summer?

Walcott has already thrown his two cents in on the matter, and as for me, I personally feel it will ultimately come down to how much he is priced at by Ajax, and of course if they are willing to sell. One thing is for sure though, Eriksen certainly has all the capabilities and requirements to wear the famous red and white of Arsenal. It’s now up to Arsene Wenger whether he wants to pursuit the Dane this summer or not.

I think he is good player, but to be honest I don’t know too much about him, if he plays like he did against England constantly then he is a good buy. The only problem is where would he fit into the arsenal team. A player like that deserves to play constantly and if Arsenal are not able to do this then another club should get him.
