Reports in Spain are claiming that Arsenal are lining up a club record bid for Sevilla star Jesus Navas this summer.
The 25-year-old winger has developed into one of the best talents in the Spanish game over the past couple of years, and has also stamped his mark on the international scene by helping Spain capture their first World Cup triumph last summer.
Due to his impressive and consistent performances, Sevilla wasted no time tying the Spaniard down to a new long-term contract last month, which evidently, quashed rumours of a possible exit from the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán. However, according to Radio Cadena Cer, a Spanish station, Arsenal have been in contact over a possible summer move for the versatile winger.
The La Liga outfit value Navas at approximately £25 million, which is £10 million more than the Gunners current transfer record. However, due to financial difficulty mounting at the club, Sevilla could be forced to sell their prized asset for a much smaller sum.
Sevilla currently sit seventh in La Liga, 13 points off fourth place, and it is believed that a potential move is dependant on whether the club manage to capture a Champions League spot this season. Qualifying for the illustrious competition is vital to a club in Sevilla’s current predicament, as it would guarantee a source of income. However, failure to achieve qualification will no doubt force Los Rojiblancos to sell Navas, which will leave Arsenal hopeful of acquiring the speedy winger in the summer.

I’m not too sure about this player. He is definately a talented player but we don’t here too much about this player. I think both Arsenal and himself would benefit if he were to come to london but then again I don’t think wenger will spend 25million on him.
I would like to see him at Arsenal as we will need a winger following Rosicky’s and Arshavin’s poor peformances, plus they will be in their 30’s. But, I dont think he is worth £25 million, for that amount of money Wenger could find two decent players than just Navas
