Time for Wenger to deliver claims Arsenal Legend

|

Arsenal Legend David Seaman has today stated that it is now time for Arsene Wenger to start delivering trophies, a claim which has no doubt been voiced by possibly every Arsenal fan over the past 5 years.

The Arsenal fans have not seen their side lift a trophy since the triumph over Manchester United in 2005, and David Seaman, who was with the Gunners up until 2003, will not accept inexperience as an excuse for their probable future failures anymore. The ex-England and Arsenal goalkeeper told the Daily Mail:

‘Arsenal, as we’ve seen in previous seasons, have always been there or thereabouts, now is the time for them to really step up and show what they can do because everybody keeps saying they’ve not got experience but this is year after year so now they’ve got to have the experience.’

He finishes off by saying:

‘They’ve been in these positions before and now they need to take that one step further and hopefully get some trophies back to the Emirates.’

Having read the comments made David Seaman I could not agree more with the man. This group of Arsenal players have been playing together and have gelled for the past 5 years. Yes they are still young, but we can’t say our players are inexperienced anymore, because this would be taking the biscuit.

Arsenal are in a great position to put an end to their trophy drought (especially in the Carling Cup), but somehow (and there could be a few reasons for this) we always fall short. Inexperience has been the main ‘excuse’ over the last few years for our downfall and frankly its wearing thin now.

David Seaman may have placed a bit of unwanted pressure on the manager and the players with his words, but in truth, its about time Arsenal brought home some form of silverware, not just for themselves but for the fans who have been longing for it since 2005. I certainly hope they can deliver come the end of the season, and if for some reason they can’t, then I would certainly like to know why.

The reasons that we have not won trophies are not from inexperience, its Injuries at the wrong time somtimes multiple injuries, bad official decisions, and a smaller squad we are no different from most of the clubs in the league, our record is better than most, and it isnt a problem, it maybe is to you but not true Arsenal fans, for a team without as you say experience we are very consistant with top 4 finishes every year. Now we have increased the size of our squad and have more cover, officials under the microscope i expect just deserts, but if not i still love em

I agree, I think inexperiencE isn’t an excuse anymore, if we don’t win anything this season then we can’t blame it on that. I think personally if we don’t win it it will be due to the lack of defensive errors because we score enough goals. Anyway, here’s hoping we win something.

Sorry folks; but for me Wenger will not be able to deliver any silverware to Arsenal Football Club. Period!!. The man doesn’t have a winning mentality and his players fall within his mode. Get a proven winner and you’ll see these players transformed overninight!
