Talks have re-opened between Barcelona and Arsenal for the possible transfer of Cesc Fabregas.

The midfield playmaker is the heartbeat of the gunners but Barca want him to join up with his spanish counterparts Xavi, Iniesta, Puyol and co.

Rumours suggest that another Spaniard will go in the opposite direction in the shape of Sergio Busquets.

Arsenal have been keeping tabs on him for a while and a possible swap deal may be the answer to finalising a deal for the Catalans number one transfer target.

Busquets, 22, was a big player for Barcelona in the season 2008/09 season when they won the treble and he also played every game except 30 minutes of Spain’s world cup triumph in 2010. He plays his defensive midfield role as good as anybody in the world. He’s disciplined in sitting behind the more creative players and he wins tackles and feeds the ball to the likes of Iniesta and Xavi to make things happen.

Arsenal would benefit from Busquets of course but they will definitely miss their most influential player in Cesc Fabregas. It’s obvious who they would rather have but will he want to stay on? Or most importantly does he want to join his fellow Spaniards where he has more of a chance winning trophies season-after season?

I hope this rumour isn’t true because I think Busquets is not all that. Busquets only looks good because he has a great team around him, anyway why would he want to leave Barcelona for Arsenal. I don’t see it happening.

Anyway, whats the point of swapping an offensive midfielder for a defensive one, it doesn’t make sense. We already have defensive milfielders, if this does happen then we’ll still need a offensive milfielder to replace Fabregas.

Do not joke guys because its hurting STILL. I genuinely loved Fabregas and cant stand the sight of him in another jersey. So no more jokes OK?
