Arsene Wenger is happy for both Carl Jenkinson and Mathieu Debuchy to leave Arsenal this month.

The two right-backs have made just one Premier League appearance so far this season, and Debuchy, 31, recently stated that he is not on speaking terms with Wenger, while Jenkinson is out-of-favour at the Emirates and has the likes of Hull City, West Ham, Watford, Swansea and Aston Villa all reportedly keen on his services.

It was claimed earlier in the month that Wenger would only allow one of the two to leave as the one who remains would be a back-up option to Hector Bellerin. However, it seems the Frenchman’s stance has changed.

When asked during his pre-match press conference for the Gunners’ FA Cup game against Preston this weekend whether he was happy to let both Jenkinson and Debuchy leave this month, Wenger said:

‘We will see, yes.’

If Wenger is prepared to let both right-backs leave this month then either he plans to dip into the market and find a suitable cover for Bellerin, or use Gabriel in the full-back position.
