That’s it, The Champions League Group Stages have come to an end, and Arsenal finished on top of theirs after Paris Saint-Germain drew 2-2 at home to Ludogorets while the Gunners beat Basel 4-1 in Switzerland.

It’s the first time since the 2011/12 season that Arsene Wenger guided his side to the top of the group and with it should come a favourable draw as well as the advantage of playing the first-leg of the next round away from home.

The last four groups ended earlier tonight and we now know the final 16 teams who will compete in the knockout phase of the Champions League.

But the teams Arsenal fans will be more concerned about are the ones who finished runners-up, as these are the sides who they can potentially draw.

So, here are the teams the Gunners could face in the next round:

Benfica

Bayern Munich

Bayer Leverkusen

Real Madrid

Porto

Sevilla

I think it’s fair to say that if we can avoid drawing Bayern Munich and Real Madrid then we’d be happy enough.

Benfica, Porto, Bayer Leverkusen and Sevilla could also pose a threat, especially if taken lightly, but avoiding the big two out of the six would certainly enhance our chances of qualifying to the quarter-final stage of the competition.

You can find out who Arsenal draw in the round of 16 on Monday 12th of December from 11am GMT.

The first legs will take place on February 14th and 15th, and 21st and 22nd, 2017. The second legs will take place on March 7th and 8th, and 14th and 15th, 2017.
