I don’t know who to believe anymore!

Dutch journalist Thijs Slegers believes Robin van Persie will leave Arsenal and seal a move to Manchester City this summer.

Slegers told the Andy Goldstein Show this past Saturday:

‘I don’t think Robin will leave the Premier League, but I do think that he will leave Arsenal.

‘Robin loves England, England loves Robin.’

Asked where, if he stays in the Premier League, he would go to by Goldstein, Slegers replied:

‘I think it will be [a move to] City or Chelsea.’

Slegers was then pushed by the presenter to state which out of the two aforementioned Premier League clubs Van Persie would go to, the Dutch journalist quickly responded with:

‘City. Manchester City. I know some people around him and they say he will leave for sure. I can’t quote them, but I believe them, I’ve known them for years.’

He finished off by saying:

‘It’s the toughest decision of his [Robin’s] life because he loves Arsenal, but Robin also loves to win prizes. In the end, a career is built up on prizes.’

I don’t actually know who to believe anymore!

Firstly you get Van Persie’s dad, Bob, come out a few days ago and rule out a move to Manchester City, then you get Slegers saying he knows some people that circulate around Robin and say that he will be going to City for sure this summer!

To be honest with you guys, I’m not going to believe either Bob or Slegers. Instead, I’m going to wait anxiously and see what Robin does and say after the completion of the Euros.

I just hope, if he does leave, that he doesn’t stay in the Premier League – that would hurt!

In response to those assume that the media gag around RvP is bad news, done deal etc then consider this.

    A) the club say they are going to compete in the transfer market and ask invite RvP to wait and see who they sign, hence all the rumours around M’Vila, Giroud etc as we are try to do our business early

    B) they also tell Rvp to see what offers he gets, only a few clubs can offer him more than us ESP if you discount Arab and Russia based teams, given his injury record not all of those will risk mega money

    C) reconvene after euros and A+B to discuss but in the meantime agree not to discuss in public

    Seems fair enough

I hope Arsenal keep him. Its just a pity with his talents he isn’t at a club where he has chance of winning anything. Not even against the likes of Birmingham (sorry Birmingham fans)

Fackin’ mercenary that shat on your poxy club and yet you ‘fans’ feast on his turds as if they were the finest bakklava. Bumbaclart.

Leaave mr. Slegger he only think RVP will leave de Gunners.Sleiger is not his agent or spokeman.i wil never b’lieve dis folktales.

  • Skel says:

Why would City buy an injury prone old man who has only ever had one good season in the prem. RVP has scored 1 goal vs City in 10+ games ! Even Handy Carol has a better scoring record vs City than RVP. Not good enough…..pure and simple !

How about you don’t believe a single word anyone says until it’s officially announced?

As a Gooner, I’ve gone completely numb to transfer windows! Every window we fail to strengthen and evey summer we lose a star player (or 2)…
Try relaxing and not giving a flying fuck until things are officially announced! A lot easier that way and your mental health will vastly improve!

His injury days are over so lets take that out of our thought. These are what i’m sure will happen
    1) robin wil have an injury free season again
2)he will stil be crowned epl top scorer
3)he wil be wearing our red and white wen the new season begins
4)i’m not bothered by those media vultures because they knw nothing
