Layvin Kurzawa has agreed to join Arsenal this summer when his contract at Paris Saint-Germain expires, according to reports in France.

The 27-year-old will become available on a free transfer this summer after PSG appear unwilling to renew his contract. The Ligue 1 club were considering the prospect of moving him this month if a fee of around £6million was tabled. Arsenal has opened talks with the player’s agent over a transfer this month but will now wait until the end of the season and acquire him for nothing.

France Football (via Metro) say the French left-back has agreed a five-year deal with the Gunners. The report also suggests that Mikel Arteta is a huge admirer of Kurzawa’s ability and repeatedly told the Arsenal hierarchy to step up their efforts and sign him.

Inter Milan were also said to be interested in Kurzawa, but the defender opted to join Arsenal instead.

Kurzawa joined PSG from Monaco in 2015 but has dropped down the pecking order, starting just six Ligue 1 games this season.
