Arsenal have to appoint Carlo Ancelotti as their new manager, according to Clinton Morrison.
The 60-year-old parted company with Napoli on Tuesday, despite beating Genk 4-0 in the Champions League just hours prior, but now he is available, Morrison believes that there is no doubt about where he should end up.
Speaking on talkSPORT, he said: “It’s a no-brainer.
“If you haven’t got a manager, go and get this man. He’s a serial winner.
“I think he’d be a great fit for Arsenal. I think they’d be mad not to appoint him this week, to even today.”
Is Morrison right about Ancelotti?
Honestly, it feels like he might be.
The Italian has one of the finest records in modern football, with three Champions League titles to his name, and trophies in pretty much every country he has managed in.
He has taken on some of the biggest clubs in the world, and pretty much everything he has touched has turned to gold.
Moreover, he has good experience in the English game, having guided Chelsea to a Premier League and an FA Cup in the past.
Make no mistake, Arsenal are a project, and perhaps more work than he is used to, but if there’s one man who you would bet your mortgage on turning things around in north London, it would be Ancelotti.
