Arsenal fans have reacted in typical fashion to rumours of more difficulties behind-the-scenes at the club.
According to The Independent, players including club captain Granit Xhaka and Mesut Özil ‘openly do impressions of Unai Emery’ and according to one unnamed club source ‘mercilessly take the p*** out of’ their manager.
And while the Spaniard is a man under pressure, these reports are a damning indictment of the egos in the Arsenal squad.
Fans on Twitter were quick to show their feelings on the rumours of unrest.
The mocking part isn’t bothersome, it’s the fact this never happened to Wenger shows you how much of a downgrade we made. Also, not working on the player’s weakness?, that’s 101 coaching. No matter how bad we were with Wenger, it was never said he’s losing the squad.thnx Gazidis!

I know he’s not good enough but feel so sorry for him man. Losing respect is so awful, especially when people starting to mock the way you speak

I swear this is exactly what happened to him at PSG? ?

Absolutely disgraceful from the players if this is true. What ever happened to respect and integrity?

That’s nasty I don’t like that

I don’t want him as a coach no more but that’s just disrespectful

What do we think?
Rumours are rumours for a reason, so it’s important to take this news with a pinch of salt. But, rumours or not, it’s clear all is not well at the Emirates. Whether you like or dislike Emery, players should give nothing but respect to their manager otherwise the whole system falls. Maybe we might have an answer as to why Özil has not been appearing for the Gunners.
