fans have been responding to the club’s goal of the month contenders for September on Twitter and some have put forward the suggestion that Bayern Munich’s Serge Gnabry should pick up the monthly accolade.

The former Gunners’ youngster scored four goals during the German side’s 7-2 victory against hated neighbours Spurs at the Stadium on Tuesday.

Gnabry, 24, spent five years at and score just one goal in 18 appearances for the first team as a youngster. He also had a loan spell at before being sold to Werder Bremen in 2016.

The former midfielder was heavily requested to win the award and tweeted “North London is Red” after the thrashing as Munich asserted their dominance in the area after beating the Gunners 5-1 at in 2017.
