These are desperate times for Arsenal fans, with the failure to reach the Champions League hurting their plans to improve the squad in the transfer market.

So much so, that the easiest way to boost funds may be to let one of their free-scoring stars go – with Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang both attracting interest from elsewhere this summer.

Rebuilding the squad on a budget would be difficult, but 72% would sell Aubameyang to bolster reinforcements at Emirates Stadium.

Gunners writer @gunnerblog posed the mother of nightmare scenarios in which fans would have to choose between the pair that shared 50 goals between them last season – but not all fans responded in turn.

Despite having just Lacazette and Aubameyang to choose from, the replies (unsurprisingly) suggested that other players should be high on Unai Emery’s for-sale list.

Whilst few would command a fee close to the values of the strikers, fans clearly feel that a rebuild with both forwards would be more beneficial – with other players and even staff not safe as Gooners selected alternative plans of action for Emery to undertake this summer.

We’re not sure whether it’s possible to sell Stan Kroenke, but supporters may like to see Emery try…
