Premier League Side Look To Take Advantage With Arsenal Ace Set To Leave On Free Transfer

|

Everton are interested in signing Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck, according to the Mirror.

The 27-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season, and while the Toffees cannot approach the forward until his current deal expires in June, they are said to be keeping an eye on the player’s situation.

Welbeck is reportedly not close to signing a new contract, and he could talk to foreign clubs as early as January about a free transfer.

However, Everton are hoping that the England international could be persuaded to move to Goodison Park. The Merseyside club are said to have shown interest in the summer but a transfer didn’t go ahead before the window shut in August.

Welbeck has been in excellent form for the Gunners so far this campaign despite his limited game time. He has scored four goals in seven appearances, but only two of those were starts.
