Arsenal Under 23s didn’t manage to get a win against Blackburn on Monday night in the Premier League 2 fixture, but there was still some entertainment to be had despite the 0-0 draw at Ewood Park.
Captain Joe Willock ran almost the length of the pitch only to be brought down outside the box by Rovers centre-back Hayden Carter. The 18-year-old defender was given a straight red card by the referee:
No goals in Arsenal’s u23 match on Monday, but check out this run from Willock which eventually got a Blackburn player sent off #AFCpic.twitter.com/lr1Kl3qmwY

The young Gunners had already been reduced to ten men by that stage after Charlie Gilmour was sent off early in the second half after an off-the-ball incident involving Lewis Travis.
Freddie Ljungberg’s side still managed to pick up a point, and have recovered very well from the astonishing 6-5 defeat to Manchester City on the opening day.
They are currently fifth in the Premier League 2 Division 1 table after five games played. They face Liverpool next at Meadow Park on Friday evening.
