Arsenal face a major test this summer to improve their ranks after another disappointing campaign, where the Gunners are poised to miss out on a top four finish in the Premier League for a second year in a row.

That’s left Arsenal relying on Europa League glory if they’re to secure a return to the Champions League and pressure is mounting upon Arsene Wenger, who many expect will end his long-term association with the north London side this summer.

The Gunners have bolstered their attacking ranks in the past year, signing Alexandre Lacazette, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, as well as renewing the contract of Mesut Ozil, but there’s still a void to fill following the loss of Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United.

Portuguese outlet O Jogo suggests that one man Arsenal are considering moving for this summer is Benfica ace Andrija Zivkovic, with the Gunners reportedly set to battle Jose Mourinho’s side for the Serbian ace’s signature.

The 21-year-old Serbian international was eyed by Arsenal during his Partizan Belgrade days, before he moved to Portugal, and the Gunners now want to bring the winger to north London this summer.

However, the rival interest from Manchester United could prove to be an issue and interest in Zivkovic could rise following this summer’s World Cup.
