Napoli and Sevilla have joined Arsenal and a number of other clubs in tracking Basel striker Dimitri Oberlin, according to TMW.

Last month the same website reported that Juventus, Roma, Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United Real Madrid and the Gunners were all keeping tabs on the 20 year old, but it looks like there are now eight teams in the running for the Swiss under 21 international.

Oberlin is actually on a season long loan from Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg and Basel do have an option to buy the player at the end of the season. Even if the Swiss champions do sign the forward however, it doesn’t rule out the possibility of them selling the player for a profitĀ in the summer.

The young striker has been excellent in the Champions League, scoring four times in six group stage matches. His form in the Swiss Super League is certainly not as spectacular with just three goals in 13 games, but he is no doubt one of Europe’s most sought after young players at the moment.
