Manchester United will sanction a £40m bid for Bordeaux winger Malcom, according to Goal.com reporter Sam Lee.
Arsenal are reportedly also interested in the Brazilian under 23 international, but Goal say the Gunners have yet to make contact with Malcom’s club about a possible transfer.
It means United look to be in pole position to sign the 20 year old, although it is also reported that Bordeaux are demanding a massive £55m fee for the wide man, which could offer other teams the opportunity to enter the bidding for the player.
Malcom has made a huge impression since arriving from Corinthians two years ago. Last season, the midfielder made 45 appearances in all competitions, scoring nine goals and contributing seven assists. During his second full campaign in Ligue One, his performances have gone up another level with the winger having already scored seven times as well as providing assists for five others.
The Brazilian is predominantly left footed but has played almost exclusively as a right winger since arriving in Europe from Brazilian football.
