Aston Villa forward Keinan Davis has opted to sign a new deal with the Championship side, rather than taking his chances in the Premier League.

The Sun have reported that both Arsenal and Manchester United were tracking the 19 year old but the teenager has decided to remain at Villa Park and put pen to paper on a three year contract.

Davis broke in to Villa’s first team at the back end of last season, playing six games in the Championship, but he firmly established himself in the starting eleven this campaign with 11 starts in the league so far.

The striker has not found a killer instinct in front of goal as of yet however, and has only found the back of the net twice in 22 senior appearances. He does not usually play as an out and out forward under manager Steve Bruce, and generally plays in a withdrawn striker role, making him more of a link up man rather than a poacher.

No doubt, the Gunners will be keeping an eye on the player to see how his game develops over the next few seasons.
