Inter Milan have joined Arsenal in monitoring midfielder Adrien Rabiot’s contract situation at Paris Saint-Germain, according to Calciomercato.com.
The Frenchman has starred for PSG this season, following the departure of Blaise Matuidi to Juventus in the summer. The 22 year old’s current contract with the Ligue One club expires in 2019, and there has been a great deal of speculation over whether the midfielder will sign a new deal.
Rabiot told Europe1 back in February that he would consider offers from other big clubs. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger tried to sign the Frenchman when he was a teenager back in 2014, but a move never materialised.
The Gunner boss is reportedly still a big fan of the midfielder, but he will likely have to face much stiffer competition for the player’s signature with Inter also now in the running.
No doubt, PSG will try to tie up Rabiot to longer term deal as well, especially considering how important he has become to manager Unai Emery in recent months.
