Bayer Leverkusen are the latest club to have taken an interest in Juventus midfielder Mario Lemina, according to Footmercato.net.

The French website reports that the Bundesliga club, along with Everton, West Ham and Sevilla are all monitoring the Gabon international’s situation at Juve. They make no mention of Arsenal though who have reportedly been keeping a close eye on the central midfielder in recent months.

Lemina only signed on a permanent deal last summer at the Serie A champions after a season long loan at the club. With Juventus looking to secure a deal for Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic though it seems the 23 year old will have very little game time in Turin next season.

Italian media have suggested that the Italian club are seeking €20million for the player, a sizeable profit on the €10.5million they paid Marseille last summer. Lemina started just 11 times in 29 appearances last season and his lack of matches would suggest that Juve could be prepared to compromise on their asking price.

Whether Arsenal are still interested, it remains to be seen. They are not short of holding midfield players in the squad currently with Granit Xhaka, Mohamed Elneny and Francis Coquelin all capable of fulfilling the role.
