Thomas Lemar has dropped a big hint that he is keen to join the Gunners after ‘liking’ Alexandre Lacazette’s photo on Instagram.
It’s believed that the 21-year-old winger has agreed personal terms with Arsenal, but Monaco will not sanction the move unless their £80million asking price is met.
Arsenal did have their opening offer of £30millin rejected by Monaco which saw them go back with an improved offer of £40million – again believed to have been turned down by the Ligue 1 side.
However, it seems a move to the Emirates does appeal to Lemar, and having seen his fellow Frenchman Lacazette post a picture of himself modelling the new Arsenal kit, the Monaco youngster was among thousands of people who clicked the ‘like’ button.
With Arsenal facing the prospect of losing Alexis Sanchez this summer, Arsene Wenger is looking to strengthen his attack and Lemar would certainly be a player who could improve their forward play.
Lemar managed to score 14 goals and 14 assists in 41 total appearances, while Lacazette netted 37 in 45, so should Arsenal lose the services of Sanchez this summer, these two Frenchman could make up for the Chilean’s exit.
