Schalke 04 sporting director Christian Heidel has confirmed the Bundesliga side are interested in signing Nantes midfielder Amine Harit.

The France Under 20 international is also reportedly a target for both Arsenal and AC Milan, and talking to German magazine Kicker, Heidel said that the German club are also considering making a move for the 19 year old:

“Harit is a very interesting player. He is one of a number of options. We will have to look at how realistic a transfer is from a financial perspective.”

Goal.com report that Harit could cost close to €15m or £13.2m. He made his way through the youth setup at Nantes before making his debut against Dijon at the start of last season.

Although his primary position is an attacking midfielder, he has also been used by Nantes on both the left wing and right hand side of midfield. He played regularly during his first season in senior football, playing 30 games in all competitions, scoring one goal and providing one assist.

At the end of the campaign, Harit also featured for France at the under 20 World Cup, playing in three of the team’s four matches as they lost out to Italy in the last 16 of the tournament.
