Arsenal have reportedly agreed to sell David Ospina to Turkish club Fenerbahce for £6million this summer.
The 28-year-old Colombian has previously claimed that he is considering his future at Arsenal having played second fiddle to Petr Cech since his arrival from Chelsea two years ago, and it appears he is on his way out of the Emirates at the end of the season after the Gunners accepted a £6million bid from Fenerbahce, according to Fichajes.
Ospina has grown tired of sitting on the bench and despite having two years left to run on his current Emirates deal, the former Nice goalkeeper wants to play regularly to ensure a place in Colombia’s World Cup squad next summer
Should reports prove to be accurate then Arsene Wenger, who looks set to continue on as manager next season, has a goalkeeping dilemma on his hands this summer. The Frenchman will either have to promote third-choice goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez to back-up to Cech, convince Wojciech Szczesny that he still has a future at Arsenal despite two consecutive seasons out on loan to Roma, or sign a new shot-stopper altogether.
Ospina has made only 13 total appearances so far this season for Arsenal and to move him on looks a wise decision if he is unhappy at the club.
