Arsenal will reportedly face competition from Borussia Dortmund for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette.
The France international, 25, is said to be on Arsene Wenger’s wishlist this summer as the Frenchman plans a major rebuild at the Emirates.
Lacazette has enjoyed yet another season with Lyon, netting 29 goals for the Ligue 1 club so far, and German publication Bild (via the Daily Mirror) now suggests Borussia Dortmund are keen on the signing French striker as they face the prospect of losing Pierre-Emerick Aubemyang this summer.
Arsenal have been long-term admirers of Lacazette, who has previously stated that he could be looking for a new challenge at the end of the season.
However, with the Gunners in danger of finishing outside the top four this season, thus potentially not competing in the Champions League in the following one, it could give Dortmund a slight advantage in sealing Lacazette’s signature this summer.
