Michael Owen believes Arsenal will slip up against West Brom once again this Saturday.
Arsene Wenger’s side have dropped out of the top four in recent weeks and now sit in fifth place, five points behind Liverpool who occupy fourth, but do have two games in hand.
The Gunners take on West Brom at the Hawthorns tomorrow afternoon which has proven a difficult outing in recent visits and Owen is predicting a close encounter between the two sides once again:
Quoted on BetVictor.com, the former England and Liverpool striker said:
“Tony Pulis has lost only one of his last six Premier League home games with Arsenal and I expect to see his side bounce back after a couple of disappointing performances in recent weeks.
“The Gunners have lost three of their last four PL games and cannot afford any more slip-ups – such is there recent form I expect to see the Baggies get something from the game.”
Wenger did state in his pre-match press conference yesterday that his side cannot afford more any slip-ups if they are to obtain a top four spot this season.
Liverpool travel to Manchester City on Sunday, Tottenham take on Southampton at White Hart Lane, while Middlesbrough host Manchester United. Arsenal cannot afford to drop points tomorrow as they could slip further adrift from those above them.
