Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger still has a contract offer “on the table” if he wants to sign it, according to BBC reporter David Ornstein. In his report, he also states that a decision will only be made at the end of the season.

Wenger’s current deal expires in the summer but there has been no real news regarding a new deal until now. Arsenal’s heavy defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League last night will no doubt change some views among the Arsenal hierarchy but it seems to be very much in Wenger’s hands.

Ornstein says the Frenchman was offered the new deal “earlier in the season” but the Gunners boss tends to delay decisions on his future until the end of the campaign when he has more time to reflect.

A similar instance happened when he signed a new deal at the end of the 2013/14 season, and it seems that any talk of replacing the Gunners boss is not at the forefront of anyone’s minds at the club currently.
