Sevilla president Jose Castro Carmona has hinted that the Spanish side may make an offer for AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca in January. The Europa League winners sold the Colombian to Milan back in 2015 but he has struggled for form at the San Siro this season.

The Sun linked Arsenal with a move for Bacca on Sunday with journalist Phil Cadden reporting that Arsene Wenger was preparing a £20million bid for the 30 year old, but it seems like his old club Sevilla could prove to be fierce competition for his signature.

Speaking to local newspaper the Estadio Deportivo, Castro Carmona said it would not be easy to sign Bacca but he would not rule out a move in January:

‘No, it’s not easy to think Carlos could return with us, especially as he has only been at Milan for a year and a half. Let’s not forget we did sell him in exchange for a large amount of money. If necessary, we’ll try to bring in a striker in January. Over the next few days we’ll start getting organised.’

Bacca has scored six goals in 13 games for the Rossoneri this season but has not hit the back of the net since early October. He has missed the last two league matches because of a muscle injury, and was criticised in the Italian media when he returned to Seville during his injury layoff rather than watch his team mates in the league match against Empoli.
