Marseille’s Rudi Garcia wants to make a move for Arsenal full back Mathieu Debuchy in the January transfer window, according to Le Parisien.
The French newspaper reports that Garcia is a big admirer of the 31-year-old after working with him when he managed Lille, and it looks he will attempt to bring the player back to France in January.
The right-back is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury he sustained at the end of last month against Bournemouth but he is expected to return to full fitness mid way through January, well before the window closes.
Arsene Wenger has reportedly been weighing up whether to send out Carl Jenkinson on loan or to allow Debuchy to leave the club permanently. The Gunners boss won’t allow both to leave in order to keep sufficient backup for Hector Bellerin.
Debuchy is also believed to be interesting a number of of clubs both in England and in Turkey.
