Alexis Sanchez has not ruled out the possibility of making a shock move to China.

Arsenal are desperate to tie the Chile international, 27, to a new long-term deal at the Emirates, but the energetic forward has yet to agree new terms.

Earlier reports suggested Sanchez wanted a significant increase on his current wages – believed to be £130,000-a-week – to £200,000-a-week.

However, The Sun now claim that talks have stalled over his £250,000-a-week wage demands, and suggest that his representatives are now actively exploring opportunities in the Far East, should Arsenal not be able to give him what he wants.

Sanchez has 20 months left to run on his existing deal at the Emirates and Arsenal fans, as well as Arsene Wenger, would want nothing more than the Chilean to extend his stay after flourishing in the Premier League since his arrival from Barcelona in 2014.

Sanchez has been in fine form for the Gunners this season in his new centre-forward role, netting six goals in 12 Premier League appearances so far.

Manchester City and Juventus have been credited with interest in Sanchez and will no doubt be boosted by hearing talks have stalled.

Hopefully Arsenal can get this one wrapped up sooner rather than later, but this looks like it could go the distance which could leave the Gunners considering his sale in the near future.
