Arsenal considering sending Lucas Perez out on loan as early as January.

The 28-year-old Spanish striker arrived during the summer transfer window from Deportivo La Coruna for £17 million as Arsene Wenger wanted to bolster his attacking options for this season.

But Perez has managed only 87 minutes of Premier League action so far. He has, however, enjoyed better fortunes in the EFL Cup where he scored twice in the 4-0 win over Nottingham Forest in September.

But according to sources in Italy, as reported by talkSPORT, suggest that the Spaniard, who is currently recovering from an injury, could be offloaded on loan when the January transfer window opens.

Arsenal do have the likes of Jack Wilshere and Wojciech Szczesny currently away from the club on loan, and Perez could be the next one out of the door should any club approach the Gunners for his services.

It would be a strange decision to let Perez leave the club in January, especially after the Arsenal faithful and former players urged Wenger to sign a striker after having only Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud to call upon.
