The Metro is reporting that Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla is in no rush to sign a new contract at Arsenal at the moment.
Taking quotes from an interview with IBTimes the Spanish midfielder said:
‘In my case I will finish my contract at the end of the season but I’m not thinking about it now. I’m just focusing on playing and giving my best on the pitch.’
The former Villarreal midfielder is 31-years-old and has been a regular in the Arsenal side so far this season in one of the deeper midfield positions alongside either Summer signing Granit Xhaka or Frenchman Francis Coquelin.
The Spaniard has two goals and two assists in the Premier League this season so far with one of his strikes being the winning penalty against Southampton in the last minutes at the Emirates to secure victory, and looks to have recovered from the injury that ruled him out for the second half of last season.
Arsenal host Middlesbrough this weekend knowing a win could see them take the outright lead in the Premier League should other results go their way.
