Arsenal attacker Alexis Sanchez has stated that he feels he is at the same standard as some of the world’s best players and the Gunners star has compared himself to Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Chile international left Barcelona to move to the Emirates Stadium in the summer of 2014 and has proved to be a revelation for the North London club.
Sanchez has dazzled the Arsenal support with his speed, skill and eye for goal, with the South American star sure to be a major player if Arsene Wenger’s men are to fight for silverware in 2016-17.
The gifted former Udinese man has stated that he feels that he can count himself among some of the world’s best players and has compared himself to Messi and Ronaldo.
“I have reached a level where I can compete with great players.
“I do not feel inferior to anybody. I liken [my qualities] to Messi and Ronaldo. I have the same abilities as them.”
Arsenal fans will hope that Sanchez can stay fit this season and string a run of games together, with the South American able to score and produce goals at will when firing on all cylinders.
