Make no mistake about it, Arsenal’s academy is one of the best in England.
Over the years, it’s produced or played a part in the development of Tony Adams, Ashley Cole, Kieran Gibbs, Martin Keown, Paul Merson, Jack Wilshere and Hector Bellerin to name but a few.
Recently, Arsenal’s academy perhaps hasn’t been as prevalent as it once was. The fact of the matter is that the demands of the Premier League, and the enormous financial revenues it offers, limits chances for academy players.
But whilst Chelsea are beginning to produce Basketball-player-sized monsters like Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who measures in at 6 foot 3, and Manchester City are spending unimaginable millions importing youngsters from all over the globe, the video below suggests Arsenal are still turning young English kids into masters of skill, technique and fair.
