Arsenal are keeping a close eye on Hoffenheim attacker Philipp Ochs after star performances at the Under-19 European Championships, according to Bild.
The Gunners have had a fairly low key summer transfer window to date but Arsene Wenger is expected to add more new faces to his squad before the end of August.
Ochs has been representing Germany in the under-19 championships and was the hero as he scored a hat-trick in the recent 4-3 win over Portugal.
Arsenal are said to have had scouts at the clash and were impressed with the versatile forward’s array of skills.
Ochs has featured in a handful of first-team games for Hoffenheim and is widely regarded as one of the brightest young German players coming through the national ranks.
The Gunners already have a close affinity with German players, with the likes of Per Mertesacker, Mesut Ozil, Serge Gnabry and Lukas Podolski all on the club’s books at one time or another.
