Real prepared to sell long-term Arsenal target

|

Isco1Good news for Arsenal – Real Madrid are open to selling Isco this summer, according to reports in Spain.

The 24-year-old playmaker joined Real from Malaga for approximately £20 million in 2013.

Isco has since made 110 starts in all competitions in his three-year stay for the eleventh-time Champions League winners, but has struggled to hold down a regular place and was not picked to participate for Spain in the upcoming Euros, which starts next week.

Zinedine Zidane is expected to continue his role as Real Madrid manager following their recent Champions League triumph over local-rivals Atletico in Milan last Saturday, and Isco is supposedly on the legendary Frenchman’s exodus list this summer.

Spanish outlet Sport claim club president Florentino Perez has also give the go ahead for the potential sale of the Spanish playmaker.

Isco has previously been linked with a move to the Premier League, with Arsenal reportedly keen on his services before he joined Real.

It now seems the Gunners will keep an eye on Isco’s situation and make an enquire about his availability this summer. Reports also suggest Arsene Wenger is already trying to arrange a meeting with Real to discuss a possible deal.

However, Arsenal will more than likely face stern competition from other top teams in the Premier League, as well as clubs from around Europe.
