Honours even at the Emirates this evening after an unlikely hero in Kieran Gibbs crept home Arsenal’s equaliser against fierce rivals Spurs.
The Gunners started in ferocious fashion against Spurs, moving the ball around swiftly and getting into dangerous positions early on. However, Spurs saw off the Gunners offence and responded back admirably by taking it to Arsene Wenger’s side and eventually went ahead after Harry Kane snuck in behind Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker to put the visitors 1-0 up. Hate to say it but Spurs were the better side in the first 45, but Arsenal were not ticking.
Arsenal did however manage to bag and equaliser thanks to Gibbs and a lovely looping ball from Mesut Ozil in the 77th minute which set the game up nicely for a frantic finish, which is what we got.
But the points were shared and Arsenal fans will feel a lot happier that they came away from the game with something rather than nothing.
The draw leaves them sitting in second place in the table with 26 points, behind Manchester City only on goal difference.
arsenal want to trap offsides too much and Czech is excellent
We have 4 easy games now and a break to get players fit. Good position to be in an important point with tired players
