A return to Arsenal? Not now, not ever!

Van PersieI have been reading some rubbish that Arsenal should re-sign Robin van Persie this summer! Seriously?

The 31-year-old joined Manchester United two summers ago to win trophies, oh, and the little boy inside of him also told him it was a chance he must seize. Yeah, he won the Premier League title in his first season at United, but now the striker is struggling to feature in Louis Van Gaal’s team, with some reports suggesting the Dutch manager is ready to offload him if his fitness is not up to standard.

And with Arsenal reportedly looking to add a new forward to offer Olivier Giroud competition and help next season, the former Gunner is now being sensationally linked with a move back to the Emirates. No thank you.

Yes he may be regarded as a world class forward by many and could still do a job for us, but after the way he left our club, I don’t want to see him back at the Emirates. Not now, not ever.

Had he stayed with us, our club could have pushed for the title in the past couple of seasons, but he decides to jump ship and left on bad terms, leaving many of the Arsenal faithful upset and frustrated with him.

Apparently, Van Persie could go for as little as £5 million this summer, and although that is a total bargain, I, as probably many of you reading this, would be disappointed with Arsene Wenger if he decided to bring him back to Arsenal. Had he left on good terms then I would be in favour of this potential move, but I don’t think much of the Arsenal faithful want him back.

Let him go to Fenerbahce, or warm the bench at Old Trafford. We’ve moved on.

No for me, NEVER! He is history and now without a club to label him ‘LEGEND’. Oh what a shame. Go sulk, Robin!!

He’s not going to come back..can you see Wenger wanting to re-sign him? A diminishing 31 yr old with injury problems? Not a chance. Wenger offloaded him at the right moment. Yes he had one good season with Mr Chewy, but that was his swan-song.

It would be world class stupidity not signing him up for 5 mil,he is still several levels above the ones we have available. So he signed for Man UTd big deal we all knew he could make his ambitions become reality at United not Arsenal.Arsenal were like a comatoezed patient in in 2012 borderline flatlining and i remember a lot of supporters wishing him well,so please drop your indignation, afterall he is no Adebawhore or Cashley. He is actually exactly what Arsenal need !!!

“Several levels above what we have??” Do you actually watch football? Van Persie on current form is worse than every striker we have. Right now he would be fourth choice at best – behind Giroud, Walcott, Sanchez AND Welbeck.

I don’t want this stupid guy never ‘n’ ever

  • Gunner says:

He is a traitor! End of. He jumped ship with all the other traitors when times were hard. He would have been a legend, probably immortalised in bronze eventually. Instead he’s a foot note and in a few years will have been forgotten. Never do I want to see him in an arsenal shirt again. He doesn’t deserve the honour. NO THANKS

Come on gooners, at £5M, he is a bargain and he would do a pretty descent job upfront perhaps pocket around 25 BPL goals. He could sign a 3 year contract and Wenger (le prof) squeezes any plasma left in him by bringing the premier league title and defend the FA title once again. Let’s forgive him and not have hard feelings. That guy is twice Giroud.

stupid idiot we don’t need him Giroud will do better

  • Eddy says:

No, Vampire no more. He is a traitor who left us in our dark moments. We hv now come over it by winning two back-to-back FA trophies along with a community shield trophy. Personally, I would never like to see him return.

  • Bakri says:

Back to Arsenal in his dreams and now he is a Man United U flop he should go straight to Turkey .
