Arsenal could potentially land Belgian winger Zakaria Bakkali for as little as £750,000 this summer.
The 19-year-old’s contract at PSV is set to expire at the end of the month and will become a free agent, meaning Arsenal could wrap up the transfer quickly with no negotiations needed.
However, the Gunners would have to pay training compensation to PSV, as Bakkali is under the age of 23, but the Dutch champions would only be able to demand around a mere £750,000 for the starlet.
Liverpool and Valencia are also credited with interest in the Belgium international.
Bakkali is known for his speed, versatility and trickery, and has previously been on Arsene Wenger’s radar.
Despite the need for experience in the squad, signing Bakkali, who is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in Europe, would be viewed as a great signing by the club – especially for such a minimal fee.
