Aaron RamseyHere are my Arsenal player ratings from this evening’s 1-0 win over Burnley at Turf Moor:

David Ospina – Had a fairly quiet evening due to the lack of Burnley’s attacking prowess. Made a few decent saves, but ones he was expected to make. 6/10

Hector Bellerin – Great going forward, offering the overlap and bursting down the right flank. But his inexperience was exposed on a few occasions today which could have led to trouble had Burnley been a better side. 6/10

Per Mertesacker – Looked nervous in the first opening minutes and was left for dead by Sam Vokes’ pace, thankfully the striker was offside. Positioning wasn’t up to scratch but was immovable in the air. 5/10

Laurent Koscielny – Solid and composed at the back, Koscielny got stuck in and covered Per well once again. 7/10

Nacho Monreal – The Spanish full-back did well going forward and wasn’t really troubled by Burnley’s wingers today. Kept position well and looks to be our first-choice left-back now ahead of Kieran Gibbs. 7/10

Francis Coquelin – Protected the back four superbly, made countless interceptions and covered when his team-mates when they pushed forward. 8/10

Santi Cazorla – Kept things neat and tidy in midfield and tried to get things going in midfield. Saw his free-kick go inches wide in the first-half, but his performance wasn’t up to standard. 6/10

Aaron Ramsey – Made some good runs on and off the ball, and got into decent attacking positions. Good finish from a standing position but faded as the game wore on. 7/10

Alexis Sanchez – Showcased his energy once again and wanted the ball to create something. Tried a little too hard at times, but his effort was faultless. 6.5/10

Mesut Ozil – Set up some great opportunities for his team-mates and was comfortable on the ball throughout. Tired in the final stages of the game but not a bad display from the German international. 6/10

Olivier Giroud – Was rarely seen and failed to impose himself on the game. As bad as I’ve seen from the Frenchman since the Monaco game at the Emirates. 4/10

SUBS:

Danny Welbeck – Replaced Giroud with 10 minutes to go and posed a threat with his pace. Nearly got on the score-sheet had it not been for a scuff effort. N/A

Calum Chambers – Came on for Sanchez in the 93rd minute. N/A
