roberto firminoArsenal will have to fork out just under £22 million if they want to sign Hoffenheim midfielder Roberto Firmino.

The 23-year-old has been in decent form for the Bundesliga outfit this season, contributing nine assists and eight goals in 24 appearances in all competitions so far, and the Gunners are interested in acquiring the Brazilian should Santi Cazorla depart the Emirates this summer, according to German publication Bild.

Knowing of Arsenal’s supposed interest, Hoffenheim have revealed their asking price for Firmino, and although the fee is likely to deter a number of interested clubs in the attacking midfielder, which include the likes of Dortmund, Schalke and Wolfsburg, it is believed he will consider his future at the German club even if they achieve Champions League qualification.

Arsene Wenger and Arsenal football club will forever be linked with attacking options due to their style of play, but I for one highly doubt that the Frenchman add yet another creative midfielder to the side this summer. Even if Cazorla was to leave, we still have Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere who could fill the Spaniards boots, so a £22 million move for Firmino wouldn’t make sense.

Never gonna happen, bet he’s not even remotely on Wenger’s radar. Firmino is a bog-standard midfielder in a bog-standard club where he is not even in their top 5 players.
