Marcelo BrozovicArsenal’s £6 million target Marcelo Brozovic would welcome a move to the Emirates this month, according to the midfielder’s agent.

The 22-year-old are close to landing the man who’s been dubbed the ‘new Xavi’ having tracked him for over three months – it’s believed the Gunners tabled a £6 million offer for the Croat after an initial bid was turned down, but talks are ongoing.

And Brozovic’s agent, Miroslav Bicanic, has revealed that despite interest from several European sides chasing his client, the Dinamo Zagreb attacking midfielder would prefer a move to Arsenal:

‘We are talking to several clubs, although there is nothing concrete at this moment.

‘We know of Arsenal’s interest, but there is nothing agreed. At this moment Marcelo is with Dinamo and everything depends on Dinamo.

‘They have to agree a price with a club and then we can hold talks.

‘Of course Marcelo would be interested in playing in the Premier League with a club such as Arsenal.

‘We hope he can change clubs and come to England as it is one of the best leagues in the world, but the decision depends on Dinamo.’

Arsene Wenger is reportedly looking to add two new faces to the squad before the end of the month, and fans will be hoping the Frenchman addresses the two areas that need improving – the defence and the defensive midfield position.

Although Brozovic is highly-rated, should Arsenal really be chasing another attacking midfielder?
