Has his time at Arsenal come to an abrupt end?

|

Olivier GiroudSo Olivier Giroud has been ordered by his wife to seal a move back to France if he wants to save his marriage.

We all know by now what Giroud did off the pitch and although his missus has accepted his grovelling apology for his actions, she will only take him back if they leave England and return home.

Sources claim the French striker is desperate to save his marriage and is willing to fulfill her request of a move back to France.

Previous to all of this the 27-year-old was pictured with ‘super agent’ Muzzi Ozcan on Thursday night fuelling rumours of a possible exit from Arsenal at the end of the season, even though his agent says the meeting was for ‘commercial matters’.

Giroud has only been at Arsenal since 2012 and is arrival from Montpellier was received with mixed reactions from the Emirates faithful and pundits alike, with some claiming the Frenchman isn’t the man to fire the Gunners to silverware.

To be fair, Giroud hasn’t done badly for us since coming to Arsenal but the Frenchman, in my opinion, is average at best – so to hear that he could be sold this summer doesn’t worry me in the slightest.

But should Arsenal get rid of him because of his off-field antics?

Personally, Arsene Wenger will do well to get rid of a player who is having personal problems and doesn’t follow the club’s ethics. Get rid of him and put the money received towards a striker who can deliver the goods on a regular basis.
