What FIVE things did we learn from Arsenal at Anfield?

Arsene WengerI’m going to keep this short and sweet because I’ve been left annoyed and frustrated by what I saw from my side earlier this afternoon. We got battered by a Liverpool team who simply wanted it more and Brendan Rodgers got his tactics spot on, unlike Arsene Wenger who didn’t have an answer or clue by the looks of it.

Our overall performance was a shambles and conceding four goals in the space of 20 minutes is something I have never seen Arsenal do since I can remember. It was simply not good enough today. Many of our players hid in the Liverpool players’ shadows and none of them looked like they wanted it, and after that humiliating result we now look set to slip down to third place in the Premier League table if Chelsea and Manchester City both bag wins, which looks very likely at present.

If City and Chelsea do win then we will only be one point behind both with 13 games left to play, which doesn’t make for bad reading to be honest.

But, the performance today is something we should be concerned about especially with three massive home games against Manchester United, Liverpool (in the FA Cup) and Bayern Munich all coming up in the space of 11 days.

So having watched that abysmal showing against Liverpool, what five things did we learn from our side?

Really do you believe we have a chance to win the league, you are deluded as Wenger, we are not good enough and haven’t been for eight seasons. We will never win any silverware til he goes

    • abdulrahman says:

You are right till he goes, he damages more than he repairs. Why should monreal play when we have gibbs fit

Spot on.. how does an EPL leading team end up with a crocked JANUARY Buy and the likes of the “Little Horse” with Milk gain Salah etc and apparently we only buy Quality!? Wenger respect you mate, but time to move upstairs and get a Laurdup or Martinez et al in under the managerial wings as your understudy

  • abdulrahman says:

I learnt that ozil should not start all big matches and rosicky should be among our first eleven with the absence of our2 midfielders so also giroud should be kept on bench and bring up the young strikers we get for him

  • El says:

Yes we learned five things one we have no chance for the league,FA cup ,CL, 4goals in 20 mins and biggest defeat this season

Wenger has lost his touch of good tactical approach to matches and good game reading. His team selection has been tge major reason why the team lost some crucial matches this season.

    • Gg says:

You are very right.he has chosen to play the same tactics when other managers are playing mind games against big teams.

The players donot have motivation.they had told wenger to strengthen the team but he didnot.we are going to beatenbyall the big teams and also the small teams.the player want to teach wenger alesson the hard way.wenger new we had aproblem when wallcot got injuired but he didnot do anything.players aregetting won out they need a rest this can be achieved by having the depth.look players are forced to even play when they have injuiries.wenger expect the injuired players to give 100% .its not possible .the arsenal problem is wenger he should go.he will never win any trouphy with this attitude .the club allocate him money to strengthen the team but he doesnot.he got the whole month to buy aplayer ,but he struggles the last minute to to buy the left overs.

    • Gg says:

Wenger has alot of questions to answer.I dont know what he means by saying arsenal has alot of answers to find.sounds ridiculous.

  • The BearMan says:

Wenger cannot think on his seat. Where is Vermaelon? The defence was stretched and Wenger nor Bould would sure up the defence. Why wait until the 60th minute to make changes, when you clearly see we are taking a hammering.

Change the shape, move a midfielder back in a more defensive position. Stop the leak. Defence, Defence, Defence!

We were run over in the first half and our pre-historic thinking manager freezes.

Again Wenger I say Arsenal needs 4 real quality players to make this team a real force. Giroud needs 5 chances to score a goal, that is B team performance.

  • kevin says:

Arsenil have the best bank/football manager in the world……Chelsea fan

  • The BearMan says:

To the Arsenal players I say this: Winning the premier league is not about winning the first half of the season, but fighting and beating all your opponents twice and having the resolve to finish on top.

    Never under-estimate your opponent!

You have to turn up for each game and be ready for battle.

Never label yourself as champions until you have earned it.

    • gimos praz says:

spot on BearMan. The players didnt come to compete all. They started the match with a sort of nothing at stake attitude

  • Jovani says:

A good thumbing… what else do our weak squad to do??

  • kenneth says:

The truth is that Wenger should be sacked.Other teams bought players who will make a direct impact in their teams .Wenger went for a play he knew was sick.for me that tells Wenger is sick.Oliver g is not even good for Arsenal team B.
