Arsene WengerArsenal missed the chance to extend their lead to four points from second placed Manchester City after earning a point against Southampton at St. Mary’s tonight.

Arsene Wenger made a few changes from their last game and his side were slow off the mark and poor in possession in the first-half and were 1-0 down before the break after Jose Fonte found the back of the net.

It wasn’t a great 45 minutes for Arsenal and Wenger must off said something inspiring to the lads during the interval as they cam out a completely different side from what we saw before the break.

10 minutes of free-flowing, attacking football saw the Gunners claw back into the match, firstly through Olivier Giroud from six-yards and then a superb move ended with a classy left-footed strike from Santi Cazorla put our boys 2-1 up. However, it was to be short-lived as a minute or so later the Saints levelled after a quick counter attack.

Arsenal’s night went from bad to worse after Mathieu Flamini saw red but we managed to hang on and leave St. Mary’s with a point.

Still top, but we could drop to third if City and Chelsea pick up wins against Spurs and West Ham respectively tomorrow night.

So what FIVE things did we learn from the Gunners tonight?

that was the most boaring game !! we want a lethal striker and let flamini rest.

we should buy some players most cm 2 top class and 2 strikers Julian Draxler readng on the row

Missed the intensity that Rosicky brings to the team, flaming and artetta slow our game down too much. Need that cut and thrust.

Bad game indeed. Wenger should come to his senses and sign a fast & tactical striker.
Ozil is world class and he needs a good finisher up front. Our squad is depleted.
Please Wenger sign some good players.

Well, the draw is better than a lose. But at this crucial time in the league, wenger shouldn’t gamble with players. Its was obvious in todays’ match that monreal was out of it. He made arsenal conceded d first goal by defending carelessly. And (2) what was podolski and giggs doing on the bench when gnarby and monreal where not in their best.

  • zain hussein says:

Kiran Gibbs should start part from Nacho.obvious was the flop of the mach

Wenger is cause of Arsenal problem believe u me. By d end of dis season, if he didn’t win any trophy.it is goin to amount to 10yrs without a trophy. Imagine somebdy who call himsef a gud coach is always bent on making changes ones it is 70mins. Ur players hardly shot and go for a rebound. U lack d idea of signing an aggressive striker with strong appetite for goal. Who can trouble defenders and give them nightmare.

Very poor performance from most of the Arsenal players. Wenger should sign a fast and skillful attacker in the class of Suares, Giroud is boring and cannot take us to anywhere. And why was Podolski on the bench ? Wenger is a funny man.

we can’t bank on giroud anymore, we need a sharp, swift and strong striker. And ozil should practice more on scoring goals himself. No matter what man.city, chelsea and liverpool managers are telling their players, We can always be in our best form everytime. Consistency in winning every game is key. There is no magic to success. We must fight back. Get stronger and be determined. BUILD A GUNNER TEAM SPIRIT. 2014 is our year of trophies.

We learned that combination of Arteta and flamini in a game where d opposite team offerz more Attacking midfielder then we should b prepared having a player sent off always..
If truly Mr Wenger s bent on ending d long waited years of Trophyless then its obvious we nid at most 3 players: a back up 4 Sagna, a Lethal striker and a dfnsiv midfield..
How and why on earth is Monreal starting ahead of Gibbs..even though Gibbs s still lacking a bit of tacking skills bt i tink his attacking urge brings life, and pace to other players around him
