Borussia Dortmund are weighing up a move for Serge Gnabry, according to Bild.
The German newspaper claims Jurgen Klopp is keen to strengthen his squad this January and has the 18-year-old Arsenal winger in his sights, having had scouts watch the German youngster on more than one occasion.
Klopp is considering putting in an offer for Gnabry, who produced a dazzling display in the FA Cup last Saturday against Spurs, to test Arsene Wenger’s resolve, either this month or at the end of the season.
Well it seems Klopp will have to hold back his interest in Gnabry this month after Wenger learned that Theo Walcott has been ruled out for the rest of the season, leaving the Frenchman short of options on the right wing.
With Walcott out, Gnabry will surely see more game time and unless the offer is too good to turn down from Dortmund, the Germany Under-19 international will almost certainly remain at the Emirates for the remainder of the season.
Besides, with the world at his feet and the potential Gnabry possesses, Wenger would be foolish to let him go. And I’m sure Arsenal fans wouldn’t like to see it happen either.
