It’s been reported in Spanish newspaper Marca that Real Madrid could offload Karim Benzema in January in order to fund a move for Luis Suarez.
Benzema has been a target of the Real boo-boys already this season and it is thought the Bernabeu hierarchy are considering the sale of the Frenchman when the winter window opens if he fails to rediscover his goal-scoring form.
Should Benzema be transfer listed by the La Liga giants in January, then it is believed, according to the Spanish press, that they will renew their interest in Suarez, who opted to stay at Liverpool despite interest from Arsenal and Real.
But the 26-year-old made no secret of his desire to one day play for the Madrid outfit.
Benzema on the other hand was being looked at by Arsenal in August, but the Frenchman decided to remain at the Bernabeu.
However, if the France international is put up for sale then Arsene Wenger could well look to reunite the 25-year-old with former Real Madrid team-mate Mesut Ozil at the Emirates.
Recent reports claim Wenger will be offered a new £15 million long-term deal to remain at Arsenal, with a £40 million warchest expected to be handed to him in January as an incentive.
If Benzema is no longer wanted at Real then I really hope we go back in for him – he would be a superb addition to our side and could help fire us to silverware this season.
A buy like that and top 3 or trophies then give wenger new contract.

I’m not sure that he’s much of an improvement on Giroud. I’d prefer us to get a different type of forward to compliment our attack, rather than more of the same.
A forward that is more technically gifted and can play in a few different positions. Someone like Suarez, but not as racist or bitey – El Shaaraway would be my pick, we know that Wenger rates him highly, but so do AC Milan, so he could cost a few bob, but from the look of joy on Wenger’s face when we signed Özil it seems he may start going mental with the chequebook.

Ludicrous, you know come January when your Manager and Co realise that Arsenal’s dream of signing Suarez+ Benzema are just dreams, you’ll be out of the CL and the white knight coming over the hill in the form of Ozil, only to fall flat on his face, with the one chance you had of actually get rid of Wenger gone, having signed a new contract and embedding himself in ready to face the next onslaught from distraught fans banging at the door, frantically waving over-priced season tickets at the weasel, and the prospect of yet another trophyless season already accepted and the thoughts that the Carling cup seems like a golden dream.

Why do spurs fans always dream of being better than arsenal. If U put as much into believing U can win trophies then maybe spurs could win something. Is that the cl that spurs try as they might can’t reach. And U would need to spend at least another 100 million to b a contender. Oh and get rid or avg and bring in a good manager 😉

To be honest, as long as the club gets in the top 3, has 2 good cup runs and maybe win a trophy and can put up a decent show in the CL, then I think as fans we should be happy. To all the spurs fans, when was the last time you won the league? Enjoy Europa League football again
